FROM YOUR FIRST QUESTION TO YOUR NEXT ORDER

What to Include When Requesting a Glass Quote

A little preparation makes the next step easier. Start with your project details, then connect with our team.

PREPARE YOUR QUOTE

Details that help us
quote your project.

Send the details you have. Clearly mark anything preliminary, and tell your account manager where you need help.

01

Company & project

  • Company name, contact name, email and phone number.
  • Project name and location, plus your project, quote or other reference number.
  • Quote deadline and any relevant specification or glazing schedule.
02

Product & specifications

  • Product type, glass thickness, color, coating and any specified performance requirements.
  • Glass type and required annealed, tempered, heat-strengthened or laminated construction.
  • For patterned or textured glass, identify the actual glass pattern, texture and required orientation. This is different from a physical paper template for a shape.
03

Quantities & finished sizes

  • Quantity for each size, with finished glass width × height and units of measurement.
  • Line, opening, room or elevation tags that match your schedule and drawings.
  • Clearly distinguish finished glass sizes from opening dimensions or preliminary dimensions. Identify dimensions that still need confirmation.
04

Insulating glass make-up

  • Outboard and inboard glass thickness, type and color, including any tempering, heat-strengthening or laminated requirements for each lite.
  • Low-E coating and specified coating surface, plus total unit thickness.
  • Spacer type, size and color, airspace and specified gas fill.
  • Muntin requirements: layout, profile, color and dimensions, with matching tags.

05

Drawings & fabrication

  • Dimensioned drawings for shapes, holes, notches and cutouts, including their sizes and locations.
  • Edgework, finished orientation and any face or viewing-direction requirements.
  • Drawing number, revision and date. Identify changes clearly and keep tags consistent across the quote request and drawings.
  • If a shape requires a physical paper template, coordinate it with your account manager. Identify the piece and orientation, and arrange pickup or drop-off and return needs.
06

Delivery & project phases

  • Delivery address, site contact and phone number, or your pickup preference.
  • Site access restrictions, receiving hours and unloading arrangements.
  • Requested delivery date, project phases and any separate releases. Include tags that identify the glass for each phase or destination.
  • Have your account manager confirm delivery dates for the destination and route. Production completion and delivery are separate milestones.
